Biographies: Jorge Cousineau
Jorge Cousineau has created sets, lights, sounds and video for over 60 dance and theater productions in and around Philadelphia. His designs have appeared at the Arden Theatre Company, the Wilma Theater, Mum Puppettheatre, Pig Iron Theatre, 1812 Productions and the Philadelphia Live Arts Festival.
He is the co-founder of Subcircle, a collaborative performance/installation group. In 2002 he received a Barrymore Award for Outstanding Sound Design for Anodyne with Pig Iron Theatre Company and is the recent recipient of an Independence Foundation Fellowship to support his project, The Absence. In 2004 he was awarded the F.Otto Haas Award for emerging theater artist.
