Biographies: Kimberly Braton Lantz

Kimberly Braton Lantz began dancing at age three in Allegheny County, PA, the birthplace of Martha Graham and Gene Kelly.

She received her BFA on merit scholarship from the University of Michigan, where she had the opportunity to study under Peter Sparling, Bill DeYoung, Gay Delanghe and Jessica Fogel among others. While at U of M, Kimberly performed in works by Pearl Primus, Martha Graham’s Panorama and Paul Taylor's Esplanade set by Mary Cochran.

As a student at the America Dance Festival, she performed the repertoire of Sean Curran, Doug Elkins and David Dorfman. In New York City she has performed in both commercial and concert venues including Ellen Stokes Shadle/Danceworks at the Merce Cunningham Theater, House Plague a dance-drama choreographed by Jody Ripplinger from AIDA, with Full Force Productions, at Don’t Tell Mama’s cabaret and has appeared on MTV.

She has also danced in various independent and collaborative works at Saint Mark’s Church, Hatch, Context Theater, the Bronx Academy of Arts and Dance and Dance Theater Workshop.

Kimberly has presented her own choreography at the Offspring Festival, the Williamsburg Dance Festival and Dance Space Center. Kimberly would like to thank Jeanne for this wonderful opportunity
